Lost and Found: New Zelda Characters

So I threw together a quick reference of my new Zelda Fan characters.  Founder the Deku Scrub, and LostKid the SkullKid. ^^  Also nicknamed Lost and Found.

These two are extremely close friends, like brothers.  They're hardly seen without the other.  

Below is a little bit more info on each of them. ^^

Founder the Deku Scrub

He is actually a different type of scrub, which were born from the poisoned waters of Termina's swamp.  These scrubs are immune to the poison, however, they can carry it around and spread it if they're not careful.  This is why Founder's race have been 'quarantined' in the past. 

Personality:   Founder is full of energy.  He can be loud and obnoxious, but isn't afraid to speak his mind.  He loves the idea of being the 'hero' and being well known for heroic deeds.  This inspires him to help and aid others in any way he can.  
He does have a short temper, and can be quick to judge.  LostKid is usually the only one able to calm him down enough to stop and think things through.

Abilities:  He's immune to most poisons.  He can also produce poisonous bubbles that he can spit at enemies.  This is pretty much his only offence.  He's very good at hiding, and blending in to his environment.  He has very good eye sight, and can see well in the dark.

Weaknesses:  Like what was mentioned before, he does have a short temper that can get him into trouble.  He practically has no physical strength to work with.  He's very light weight, and while this can work to his advantage at some points, it also makes it easier for him to be tossed around, haha.

Likes:  Playing games (especially hide and seek), exploring, helping others, being the centre of attention, talking.

Dislikes:  Being bored, being ignored, being a poisonous scrub, being looked down upon or misjudged, being separated from LostKid for too long (since he tends to worry a lot about him).


LostKid the SkullKid

He used to be a boy from Termina, but he found himself in the lost woods.  He became lost and, after much time, became a SkullKid due to the curse placed on the woods.  He remained in the woods for many years, afraid to leave.  

Personality:  He is very quiet, and prefers not to talk much.  He's a deep thinker and would normally prefer to be alone, but Founder of course in the only exception.  He's very docile, and not much angers him.  He tries to look at situations from as many different angles as he possibly can in order to understand.
He has been called a coward and a weakling many times.  He does prefer not to get into danger and avoids confrontation if possible.  Founder is usually there encouraging him to take risks and show bravery.

Abilities:  He is very quick, agile, and quiet.  He is able to sneak up on many enemies and take them out with his 'claws'.  The arms and claws actually belonged to a Wolfos.  He uses it as his main weapon.  Though he only attacks others if he desperately needs to.  He also has an uncanny ability to tell when others are lying.

Weaknesses:  He's very shy.  He doesn't like confrontation, and runs from many situations.  He lacks bravery a lot of the time, though Founder is determined to change this, and improve his confidence.

Likes:  Playing games (Just like Founder, he enjoys hide and seek the most), thinking, drawing, hanging out in forests and other quiet places, listening to Founder.

Dislikes:  Confrontation, his lack of courage, being separated from Founder for too long, his nightmares.

I'm still developing the story between them, but this is what I've come up with so far:


The two of them met when Founder was sent to find 'The Witness'.  About ten years prior, a crime occurred, and there was rumoured to be a single witness that would give the answer to who had committed the crime.  Founder hoped that in him finding this witness and solving the crime, it would clear the dark reputation that his poisonous race had developed.

He followed the clues all the way to the outside of Termina, and into the Lost Woods, where he finds LostKid.  For a while, they both travel Hyrule, looking for any more clues on the whereabouts of this "Witness".  

After they get to know each other more, LostKid reveals a long held secret that he has never told anyone.  And that was that HE was the witness.  He ran from Termina after the crime occurred, and got lost in the lost woods.  Though he eventually found a way out of the woods, he refused to return to Termina, for fear of having to face his past.

Founder tries to convince him to return to Termina so he can tell everyone what happened.  Eventually, he convinces LostKid to return to Termina.  They soon set on a quest to find proof of who the criminal was and why they did what they did.



Well, that's my idea so far anyway. XD



Considering The Legend of Zelda is my all time favourite game series, it's about time I came up with a proper character for it.  I've designed a couple, but never gave them a story or personality.  So I'm happy to have these two now. ^^
